Harmful growth in the urinary bladder causes cancer of the bladder. Cancer of the bladder results in unwanted growth of cells or the cells multiply dangerously. Transistional cell carcinoma is the most common type of cell cancer . Symptoms of cancer in bladder includes the urge to urinate often without any results,polyuria, blood while urinating ,pain during urination and others. Most of these symptoms are also associated with other diseases of the kidney and bladder . So a detailed biopsy is necessarily in determining the disease. Urine cytology and trans urethral cytoscopy test are conducted to determine the disease.
The major cause of cancer in the bladder is attributed to smoking. Reports indicate that persons who are active smokers are prone to cancer of the bladder and in cancer generally.
